Public Speaking and Lecturing

Need an inspirational guest speaker on ASB or a related topic?

Need someone who can talk from first hand experience and doesn’t need to quote policy?

Need someone who can relate to residents as well as to Chief Executives?

Need someone who can hold an audience and entertain, while at the same time educate?

Mancunian Way has several members of staff who have experience in public speaking and delivering training. Nick Buckley has a vast amount of experience in training partner agency staff including Police Officers & Community Support Officers, Council Officers and Housing Association staff. This training covered many topics for many reasons, such as, support services, reporting issues, working in the community and police computer systems.

Mancunian Way is perceived to be an expert in anti social behaviour and related topics and is approached quite frequently for interviews and to comment on Government policy or news stories by the Press, radio stations and TV, including BBC4 – Week in Westminster, BBC 5 Live, Sky News, Manchester Evening News and the Irish World.

When I attended the Partnership Project, I got more out of the Mancunian Way’s presentation than anything else.” by Alan Campbell, Counsellor in HMP Greater Manchester and Eastlands Homes resident.

Nick has lectured at Manchester Metropolitan University on topics such as, anti social behaviour, working in partnership, setting up a charity, working in the third sector and working in the new world of ‘localism’ and ‘Big Society’.

He has also given lectures to European students visiting Manchester as part of their social work degree. Topics covered on these occasions included tackling ASB, tools & powers, partnership approach, early intervention and support services.

Mancunian Way has several members of staff who are experienced at speaking to an audience and each brings a different skill base and knowledge to such a session. We can tackle a wide range of subjects and guarantee that any audience is entertained, as well as leaving with the information they need to improve their service, knowledge or mind.
